THRILLER VOICEOVER

Written in a formal, analytical style suitable for a university entrance exam, the iconic spoken-word monologue of Michael Jackson's Thriller was actually authored by songwriter Rod Temperton. Legendary producer Quincy Jones played a pivotal role by initially proposing a rap section before pivoting to a horror concept and hiring Vincent Price, a renowned American actor celebrated for his classic horror cinema career and menacing voice. This brilliant artistic collaboration propelled the track's immense triumph, ultimately helping Thriller become the best-selling album of all time and cementing Michael Jackson's status as the King of Pop.
